This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your information when you use the Focuser app ("the App"), a minimalistic daily goal tracker available on the iOS App Store. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

### Personal Information

- **No Direct Collection**: The App does not collect personally identifiable information (e.g., name, email, or contact details) unless explicitly provided by you (e.g., through feedback forms, if applicable).

- **Goal Data**: The App collects your daily goals, completion status, reflection notes, and day entries, stored locally on your device using Core Data.

- **App Settings**: User preferences (e.g., notification times, completion statistics) are stored locally using UserDefaults.

### Technical Information

- **Device Information**: The App collects minimal device data (e.g., iOS version, device model) to ensure compatibility. This data is not transmitted externally.

- **Crash Reports**: Anonymous crash data may be collected by Apple's systems to improve App stability, but we do not collect or store this data.

- **No Analytics**: The App does not collect usage analytics or track user behavior.

## How We Use Your Information

- **Core Functionality**: Goal data, day entries, and settings are used to provide tracking, notifications, statistics, streak calculations, and completion analysis.

- **Notifications**: With your permission, the App uses UserNotifications to send morning and evening reminders for goal setting and review, managed locally.

- **Data Export**: You can export your goal data to CSV format for your own records. Exported files are stored temporarily and shared via the iOS share sheet.

- **Feedback**: If you provide feedback (e.g., via App Store reviews or direct contact), we may use it to improve the App.

- **Local Storage**: All data is stored locally on your device using Core Data and UserDefaults. No data is sent to external servers.

## Data Sharing

- **No Third-Party Sharing**: We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, except as required by law (e.g., to comply with a court order).

- **Apple Services**: Notifications are processed via Apple's notification services, subject to Apple's privacy policies.

- **No Cloud Sync**: The App does not sync data to external servers or provide cloud backup.

- **CSV Export**: When you export data to CSV, the file is created locally and shared using iOS system features. You control where the file is saved or shared.

## Data Security

- **Local Storage**: All data is stored locally on your device using Core Data and iOS security features.

- **No Network Transmission**: No personal or goal data is transmitted over the internet.

- **Limitations**: While we implement reasonable security measures, no system is 100% secure. You acknowledge the inherent risks of storing data on your device.

## Your Rights

- **Access and Control**: You can view all goal data, day entries, and statistics within the App. You can delete individual goals or clear all data via the App's settings.

- **Permissions**: You can deny or revoke permissions for notifications in your device settings, which may limit reminder features.

- **GDPR and CCPA Rights**: If you are in the EU or California, you have rights to access, rectify, or erase your data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Since all data is stored locally, you can exercise these rights by managing your data in the App or uninstalling it.

- **Data Export**: You can export your data to CSV format at any time via the Summary or Settings screens.

## Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and GDPR. If we learn such data has been collected, we will take steps to delete it.

## Data Retention

- **Active Use**: Data is retained locally for up to 10 years as you use the App (configurable data retention period).

- **Deletion**: Uninstalling the App or clearing data via settings removes all data. We do not retain any data after deletion.

- **Automatic Cleanup**: Old entries beyond the 10-year retention period may be automatically removed.

- **GDPR**: European General Data Protection Regulation, ensuring user rights to data access, rectification, and erasure.
